How to write a book report summary

What do you already know about summarising a book?

A book summary is a brief overview of the main points.

A book review is a written description, review or presentation that summarises and describes the reader's experience of reading a certain book.

What is it?

Why do I need to learn this?

This is your success criteria review. 

You will not receive this document until the day of the assessment. 

How do I write a book report summary?

We will read /listen to the book together in class.

After reading each chapter, you will make notes.

You will need notes on the following points

somebody    Who is the main character?

wanted          What did the character desire? What is driving the story?

but                 What did the main character have to overcome to get the thing they desire?

so                  What did the character do? Did they end up solving the problem?

then               What was the solution? What happened at the very end of the story?
