• De present continuous is een vorm van de tegenwoordige tijd.
• Je gebruikt de present continuous bij gebeurtenissen die:
•    nu bezig of                        
•    nu aan de gang zijn

Present Continuous

Subject +	Form of to be +	Verb + ing
I	Am/’m	Watching	TV.
You/we/they	Are/’re	Watching	TV.
He/she/it	Is/’s	Watching	TV.

Grammar: Present continuous
Wanneer gebruik je de present continuous?

1. Als iets in het verleden is gebeurd.
2. Als iets nu aan de gang is.
3. Als iets in de toekomst gaat gebeuren.
4. Als iets is gebeurd maar het is nog steeds belangrijk.

Present simple of present continuous, welke gebruiken we om gewoontes, feiten en routines aan te geven?

1. Present Simple
2. Present Continuous

Welke zin staat in de Present Continuous?

1. They play football in the garden every Saturday.
2. Vegetarians never eat meat.
3. I get up every morning.
4. They're playing football in the garden right now.

Kies tussen present simple en present continuous :

What is the Present Continuous?

1. Things that are happening now.
2. Things that were happening in the past.
3. Things that happened at a specific moment in the past.
4. Things that happen now, on a regular basis.

3. are going to watch
4. will watch

Present continuous:

1. We are eating lunch at the cafeteria.
2. They have eaten lunch at the cafeteria before.
3. She ate lunch at the cafeteria.
4. He has eaten lunch at the cafeteria.

Present continuous

1. aan te geven dat iets NU aan de gang is. Signaalwoorden zijn o.a: "now, at the moment, listen..." enz.

2. aan te geven dat je iets van plan bent. Meestal staat er bij wanneer je in de toekomst dat van plan bent.

3. irritatie aan te geven

Maak de present continuous door: vorm van 'to be' (am/is/are) + ww+ ing
