• What part of the question should I answer first...?

Start speaking.... then think:

• That is a very interesting question...
• Off the top of my head...
• The first thing that springs to mind....
• From my point of view....

Fill the silence (= vul de stilte op):

• Hmm... Let me think about that.
• Uuuhm, good question...
• Well... 

FILLER 3

Give back a question (= geef een vraag terug):

• I'm not sure what that means, can you explain that?
• Do you mean...?
• Just to double check... Do you mean...?
• Can you give me an example of what you mean?
  
• Can you repeat that, please?
