SOME en ANY betekenen beide:

  • wat 
  • een paar
                                                                           Ik koop elke dag wat snoep in de kantine.
                                                                     Every day I buy some sweets in the canteen.
                                                           Mijn broer mag geen noten eten, hij is allergisch.
                                                                        My brother can't eat any nuts, he's allergic.

- in vragende zin any, maar some als je het antwoord ja verwacht

Many en Much betekenen veel.
Many gebruik je bij meervoud en telbare dingen. Je kan het tellen.

Much gebruik je bij enkelvoud en ontelbare dingen. Je kan het niet tellen.

Many is used for countable nouns - nouns that have a plural form such as coins - bottles - apples - tables- people

Important!: Uncountable nouns are singular, they don't have a plural form.
