Discuss the following statements. Say if you agree or not. Explain why.

a. In the future everything will be better than it is now.

b. I’m afraid of what the future will bring.

c. I have a very clear idea of what my future will be like.

Adverbs

Adverbs tell you how something is done:

How do patients see their doctor in the future?They see them remotely.

How do hospitals customise their walls? They customise them digitally.

There are exceptions, of course, but the simplest way to recognise an adverb is through the ending -ly. You mostly form an adverb by adding -ly to an adjective:

digital - digitally

frequent - frequently
