The English were winning most of the battles, until...
  • A sixteen year old girl claimed she had a massage form God himself.

  • She convinced the French King to give her an army!

  • French troops were convinced she was send by God and became confident.
  • The French continued to take back their land.
  • Joan was captured by the English.
  • She as burned at the stake by the English for being a witch at the age of nineteen.

  • People learned to be proud at their countries. The French were proud of France and teh English were proud of England. You call this pride Nationalism.
  • France became a state that was ruled from one central place, it's capital Paris.
