How do you make a gerund?
Stem +ing
Ziet er uit als 'present continuous' maar dan zonder een vorm van "to be" (am, is, are).

The gerund is a form of a verb (stem + ing) which can be used as the subject or direct object.

Expressions like: it's no use/don't mind/ look forward to:
It is no use crying over spilt milk
My mother doesn't mind cooking every day
Verbs like enjoy/ love/ like/hate if somebody does it often or not any longer: I enjoy going to the movies
