Phrasal Verbs

Phrasal verbs are two or more words

that together act as a completely new word,

with a meaning separate from the original

words.

• Run = rennen
• Run after - achtervolgen
• Run over = even overkijken / aangereden

Must + ww = moet vanuit jezelf

Have to + ww = moet van een ander

Watch out! >  must not = moet niet

needn't + ww  = Niet nodig

• You needn't go.  The shop's already closed
