What are we going to do today?

5 min - Starting up

10 min - explanation of reading skills (test 24 Nov)

5 min - exercise together

10 min - practice reading a text

5 min - recap of text

10 min - Kahoot 

Before reading a text

Stap 1. Preparation:

--> Think about what you already know about the subject.

Stap 2. "Oriënterend lezen":

--> Look at the title, pictures, subtitles, source, words in bold

Stap 3. Read the question before fully reading the text.

--> Read the question. Think about where you could find the answer. 

During reading a text

Globaal lezen

Je leest de eerste en laatste zin van de alinea's, tussenkopjes, de inleiding en het slot

-> Je leest niet de hele tekst. Je hebt alleen specifieke informatie nodig.

Intensief lezen

Je leest de hele tekst. Je zoekt de belangrijkste zinnen. 

- Je hebt alle informatie nodig om een vraag te beantwoorden.

Scannen

Je leest niet de hele tekst. Je scant de tekst op antwoorden. Kijk goed naar de titel, tussenkopjes, sleutelwoorden, anders gedrukte woorden. Je stopt met lezen als je het antwoord op je vraag hebt gevonden. 

Exercises

- Do exercise 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 

- Do this together with your neighbour. You may speak, but quietly!

- When the timer rings (in 10 minutes) be prepared to answer in class!

- Finished? ->     Continue with exercise 17 - 23
