Waarom gebruik je voegwoorden?

• Om twee dingen aan elkaar te plakken
• Kunnen woorden, zinsdelen of zinnen zijn
• Je geeft aan wat de relatie is tussen beide delen (opsomming, reden, tegenstelling,.....) 

Opsomming

• and (en) - He likes playing football and tennis. 

• both... and (zowel....als) - He likes playing both football and tennis.

Gevolg

• so (dus) - He kissed another girl so I broke up with him. 

• so (zodat) - She was happy, so she smiled.

• so that (zodat) - She was studying journalism so that she could work as a writer.

• because (omdat) - I like to eat chocolate because it tastes good.
