Finding the whole

1. When adding 3/4 + 3/4 we can look at it like this: 

            * 3/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 +1/4= 

• Then when adding what would I do to find the whole? 
• Add 3/4 + ____ = 1 
• Find the solution and raise your hand

Correct

3/4 + 1/4 = 4/4 = 1

so (3/4 + 1/4) + 1/4 + 1/4= 1 + 2/4

Solution: 1 1/2
