Formation of stars and planets

Stars are born from cold clouds of gas and dust (also called ‘nebulas’), which shrink and clump together because of gravity

After the birth of a star, remaining gas and dust circles around the star. These particles will also draw to one another and clump together to form bigger objects: planets
