Exercise 1 

During the Apartheid regime the white government said: “Black culture differs enormously from western culture. We have dicided to give the black population homelands so that they can live in accordance woth their own culture”.

Question: do you agree or disagree with this decision? Explain you answer.

Exercise 2 

There was a lot of criticism and protest against Apartheid. Many countries stopped buying South African products. South Africa was not allowed to compete in international sporting events such as the World Cup or the Olympic Games.
