Hadith of the week

De Boodschapper van Allah (vzmh) zei:

“Het slechtste vat dat een mens kan vullen is zijn eigen maag” (Tirmidhi)

Beknopte uitleg:  

- De algemene regel is om met mate te eten. Uitzonderingen zijn er voor speciale gelegenheden zoals feesten, familiediners, enzovoort.

- De profeet zei: “Als iemand zijn maag moet vullen, laat hem dan één derde met voedsel vullen, en één derde met drinken en één derde met lucht”

- In de Koran: “…en eet en drink en wees niet verkwistend, voorwaar Hij (Allah) houdt niet van degenen die verkwisten.”
