Wanneer gebruik je de present perfect?

PAST SIMPLE
WANNEER
  • de Past Simple gebruik je wanneer iets in het verleden is gebeurd en nu AFGELOPEN is
  • wanneer er een verwijzing naar het verleden in de zin staat (bv: yesterday, last week, two days ago, in 2015)

Past simple: I saw that new film last week
Present perfect: I have seen all his films

1. Als het werkwoord eindigt op -e, laat je de -e weg:
to leave > leaving
2. Als het werkwoord eindigt op een medeklinker met klinker ervoor, verdubbel je de medeklinker:
to run > running
Let op: dit geldt niet bij -w en -x (snowing, fixing)
3. Als het werkwoord eindigt op -ie, verandert dat in -y:
to lie > lying
