Words that end in -y
In English, when a word ends in -y we make it plural by changing -y to -ies.

A common mistake students make is using the Dutch spelling in English. In Dutch we write baby's, whereas the English write babies

Sky > skies
Study > studies
Story > stories

Exceptions of the -ies rule
If the letter preceding the -y is a vowel (medeklinker), so a, e, i, u & o you add the letter -s after the -y.

Examples:
Key > keys
Delay > Delays
Holiday > holidays
All these words have a vowel before the -y!
