*But first, what is an adjective and what do you use it for?

*An adjective is "Een bijvoegelijk naamwoord"
*You use an adjective to describe a noun, or the state of a noun.
*A noun can be a person, a thing, a city, a country or an animal.

*Usually, an adjective is placed infront of a noun, for example:
-That old building
*In this case, 'old' is the adjective, as it says something about the building.

*Sometimes, an adjective is placed behind the noun, in this case, the adjective gives you extra information about the subject of the sentence.
*That old building looks pretty.
*To be, look, appear en seem.
