1. Fibrin threads form a network across your open wound.
2. Blood cells and plasma are trapped and bacteria are prevented from entering.
3. A clot is formed which dries to become a scab.
4. Platelets in your damaged blood vessels turn fibrinogen into sticky threadlike fibres called fibrin.
5. Tissues such as skin and blood vessels are repaired.
6. Ouch!! You have just stumbled over a loose tile and fallen on your knee. Blood starts pouring out of a wound.
7. The scab becomes itchy as fibrin threads loosen; the scab falls off and your skin is repaired.
