adjective --> comparative --> superlative
Tall                     Taller                        Tallest

as (adjective) as
(comparative) than
the (superlative)

Slide 21 - Slide

One syllable?
comparison = adjective +er
superlative = adjective +est
fast, faster (than), (the) fastest

Spelling rule: the adjective ends in short vowel and consonant? Then double the consonant --> big - bigger - biggest

Slide 22 - Slide

Comparisons

comparison = more + adjective
superlative = most + adjective

pleasant, more pleasant (than), (the) most pleasant

Slide 23 - Slide

Comparisons
Adjective ends in y?
It doesn't matter how many syllables the word has.

Comparison = adjective - y + ier
Superlative = adjective - y + iest

Irregular adjectives;
good, bad, much, little

Slide 25 - Slide

Does the adjective have two or more syllables? --> more/most
