You have just finished watching the latest episode of your favourite Netflix series. It was epic! Then your friend calls: their Netflix service has been down for hours and they can't wait to hear about the latest turn of events. 
Tell them what happened as juicy and as lively as you can!

Present Simple:
he sleeps - I walk - they talk
algemene waarheid, gewoonte, feit

Present Continuous:
he is sleeping, I am walking, they are talking 
tijdelijke situatie, iets wat aan de gang is, ergernis

Iets wat in het verleden is begonnen en nog steeds aan de gang is of nog effect heeft op het heden.

Signaalwoorden: For, since, so far, already, (yet  bij vragen en ontkenningen)
