Malaguzzi 100 languages of a child
Malaguzzi initiated the concept that a child may have many ways to express themselves, they posses a hundred languages.
When referring to 100 languages it is more so they have '100 languages' but not all spoken, it actually considers self - reflection, thought processes, emotions and creativity.
Different way children communicate without speaking, the utilise:
Their hands - Children express themselves through touch and problem solving.
Thoughts - Children's cognitive processes, imagination ad problem solving abilities.
Ways of thinking - Each child approaches learning and understanding in different ways.
Play - Play is a language, a way of experimenting, creating and making sense of the world.
Speaking - Verbal language, art, movement and dance
