Will/shall + infinitive

Gebruik: Spontane acties en voorspellingen

Rogier:  ''At what time does your train leave?''

Paul:       ''I will look it up.''

Be going to + infinitive

Gebruik:

- Als je iets van plan bent.

- Als je een voorspelling maakt met bewijzen.

Paul:     ''Mom, where’s my raincoat?''

Rogier: ''Why?''

Paul:      '' The weather-report says it is going to rain.''

(be going to + infinitive)

Present Continuous

Gebruik:

- Iets is afgesproken

- Iets is georganiseerd

   Met tijdsindicatie.

Rogier: ''Paul, can you help me with the laundry?''

Paul:      ''No sorry, I am leaving in 5 minutes.''

(to be + ww + -ing)

Present Simple

Gebruik:

- Vaste tijden

- Vast schema

Rogier: ''Paul hurry up! Don’t you dare miss the bus!''

Paul:      ''It leaves at 9:30 mom, ease up!''

1. will + hele werkwoord
2. am / are / is + going to + hele werkwoord
3. am / are / is + werkwoord-ing (present continuous)
4. present simple

Will + hele werkwoord

iets aanbieden > I will get you some water.

iets beloven > We will be home on time, we promise.

iets aankondigen > She will call you back later.

voorspelling ZONDER bewijs > I think it will rain today.

Uitleg

to be (am / are / is) + going to + hele werkwoord

iets van plan zijn > I am going to visit my aunt tomorrow.

voorspellingen MET bewijs > Look at those clouds! It is going to rain soon.

To be (am / are / is) + werkwoord -ing (present continuous)

afspraken in de nabije toekomst waarvan de tijd en/of plaats al vaststaat. > I am going to the dentist this afternoon.
