 Om te praten over hoeveel iets is kun je de volgende woorden gebruiken:

GRAMMAR – there is / there are

Als je een plaats beschrijft, kun je There is of There are gebruiken.

Na There is staat een woord in het enkelvoud:

There is a new skyscraper called The Tulip.

There is a tall building next to the park.

Na There are staat een woord in het meervoud:

There are a lot of wild animals in the jungle.

There are children playing in the park

GRAMMAR – present simple

Zinnen in de present simple schrijf je zo:

I, you, we, they: hele werkwoord

The cars drive very fast.

You know a lot about videogames.

GRAMMAR – SHIT-rule

he, she, it (SHIT): hele werkwoord + S

It always makes me angry when you are too late.

Sommige woorden krijgen een andere spelling in de present simple.

Werkwoorden die eindigen op medeklinker -y:

fly -> The plane flies to Denmark.

worry -> My mum worries all the time.

Werkwoorden die eindigen met een sis-klank (s, ch, sh, x):

fix -> Our electrician fixes the lights.

catch -> The statue catches your attention.

Werkwoorden die eindigen op -o:
