1. Je herhaalt de eerste 2 woorden van de zin in omgekeerde volgorde

He isn't very clever, is he ?

Tom isn't very clever, is he ?

Tags 

Je gebruikt in de tag hetzelfde persoonlijk voornaamwoord als in de zin 

OF  het voornaamwoord dat hoort bij de naam of het woord: 

He is smart , isn't  he ?

Tom is smart , isn't  he ?

Tom and Jane are smart, aren't they ?

This dog is friendly, isn't it? 

Vul aan:
It is nice weather ,________________?

1. is it?
2. isn't it ?

Vul aan:
This isn't difficult, ______________?

1. isn't it
2. is it?

You are my best friend, ...?

1. are we?
2. is he?
3. am I?
4. aren't you?

That girl is new here, ...?

1. isn't she?
2. are we?
3. am I?
4. aren't I?

Ariana Grande is a singer, ...?

1. isn't she?

Staan er 2 werkwoorden in de zin dan herhaal je het eerste werkwoord :

Dus: Als er in de zin een hulpwerkwoord staat, zoals een vorm van to be, to have, to do, dan gebruik je dat ook in de tag. 

You have got a  bike,  haven't  you?

James doesn't like horses, does he?

Aangeplakte vraagjes

Staat er geen hulpwerkwoord in de zin  dan gebruik je do of does in de aangeplakte vraag. Net als in gewone vragen.

The boys play football, don't they?

She likes to ride her horse, doesn't she?

You know that shop, don't you?

It works fine, doesn't it?

She doesn't like him......?

1. is she?
2. do you?
3. isn't it?
4. does she?

Ik snap de question tags.

1. Ja.
2. Nee.
3. Met een beetje meer hulp.

Tag question: Kort vraagje aan het einde van de zin 

Je checkt of iets klopt en/of de ander  er ook zo over denkt als jij.  

Voorbeeld: You can hear me now, can't you? 

+ / - 

Als de zin bevestigend is (+), dan is de tag ontkennend(-) 

Voorbeeld: He is very angry, isn't he? 

- / +

Als de vraag ontkennend is (-), dan is de tag bevestigend (+)

Voorbeeld: She can't come to school today, can she?

    

I, you, he, she, it, we, they 

Je gebruikt altijd de persoonlijke voornaamwoorden op het einde van de tag. 

Voorbeeld:
The dog isn't very nice, is it?

My grandparents are very happy, aren't they?

Je kan ook een zin met 'there' als onderwerp hebben : 

Voorbeeld: 
There is a lot of food at the party, isn't  there?

Staat er geen hulpwerkwoord in de zin  dan gebruik je do of does in de aangeplakte vraag. Net als in gewone vragen.
