Explore the reasoning to why CPD is important for own development in educational provisions.

Types of CPD
Formal Learning
Structured programmes such as workshops, seminars, conferences and accredited courses that lead to certification or qualifications.
Informal Learning
Unstructured and often spontaneous learning experiences, including reading professional literature, watching webinars and engaging in informal discussions with colleagues.
Self-Directed Learning
Proactive learning activities initiated by individuals, such as researching topics of interest, setting learning goals and using online resources.
On-the-Job Training
Practical learning through everyday work experiences, including job rotations, mentoring and shadowing senior colleagues.
Social Learning
Learning from others through social interactions, collaboration and networking within professional communities.

Develop a CPD programme that outlines the learning activities you will undertake to meet your identified needs.

Regularly review and update your CPD plan to ensure it remains relevant to your career goals and industry requirements.

For example: when you are employed as EYE or Teacher in the future your emploer (school / nursery) will provide you regular training to be completing and team meetings will take place every so often.

Step 2 - Look at the proposed exam questions and practice how you would approach this part of the exam.
