Some/any: basisregel

'Some': positieve/bevestigende zinnen

I have some money.

'Any': negatieve/ontkennende zinnen en vraagzinnen

I don't have any money.

Do you have any money?

Some/any: uitzonderingen

'Some': als je ergens om vraagt of een aanbod doet en een positief antwoord verwacht

Can I have some water, please?

Would you like some tea?

'Any': bij 'never', 'hardly', 'without'

He never has any time.

She passed the test without making any mistakes.

Some/any: samenstellingen

Bij samenstellingen met 'some' en 'any' gelden dezelfde regels.

There is someone at the door.

I can't do anything for you.
