Expectations: only the person in front of the class speaks, the rest is quiet. Presentation will be timed. The others write down 1 tip and 1 top for the student in question. No laughing at the person presenting. You wouldn't want to be laughed at either.

Ask students what they remember about the present continuous. When? How to make it?

Students raise their hand and do not yell through the classroom, even though they might be excited because they know something. I want to be able to give others a turn as well. And to be able to hear what people are saying, which I cannot do if they are all talking through each other.

Look at the example sentences. Ask 3 student to read them out loud. Then ask the questions below ...

*Present continuous: talk about things that are happening at the moment. Talk about future plans.
*When using the pc to talk about the future, we use a future time expression (later, on Monday, 6pm tonight)

We're learning how to ski. (= now)
We're learning how to ski next weekend (= future plan)

I will explain and write along on the whiteboard. Whatever's on the whiteboard, they have to write down.
Use example sentences to explain the difference. In this slide also write down how to make the present continuous (am/are/is + verb + ing)

Students write along and listen to the teacher. They may raise their hand to ask a question.

Practice sentences
Fill in the correct verb(s) in the sentences:
1. We ..... (go paddle boarding) with Mia on Friday
2. Why ...... you ....... (listen) to me? (? en - )
3. She ...... (do) her homework later.
