The Past Perfect shows what happened first in the past.

'The boy in the striped pyjamas'

What is this book about?

Bruno’s father is rising up the ranks in the Nazi party, which means he gets a new position and home far away from the city.

When his family moves from their home in Berlin to a strange new house in Poland, young Bruno  befriends Shmuel , a boy who lives on the other side of the fence where everyone seems to be wearing striped pajamas.

 

After Bruno takes a nasty fall, Pavel comes to his rescue...
