What is a thesis statement?

Yes! An essay is a body of writing that persuades the reader of a thesis. 
Thesis: The statement that you want to prove. 

Basic structure: 
  • Introduction that finishes with the purpose of the current text. 
  • Body: two arguments. 
  • Conclusion that rephrases and summarises your arguments. Sometimes you also have to explain which argument is in favour.

You are asked to write an essay about improvements in your school. The improvements could refer to anything school-related, from teachers to homework, from facilities to vision and mission. Anything!  Give two improvements and explain which improvement is most important to take into consideration.  220-260 words.

Your class has attended a panel discussion on what are the greatest advantages of digital and computer technology for people in their everyday lives. You have made the notes below.
Advantages of digital and computer technology in everyday life
