Pupils who are in havo 4 for the second time do not have any exemptions for English. You have to do everything again!

  • always (try to) speak English
  • always bring your Open World First book
  • always bring your notebook and a blue and red pen, and a marker
  • always bring your laptop and earphones and charger
  • always do your weektask. 
  • always ask questions if something is not clear. There are no stupid questions!

  • Come and talk to me if you have any trouble with English. 
  • You can only use you laptop / i-pad when I tell you to. Until then it remains closed ( in your bag).

  • You get a study planner for a whole period.
  • The first unit(s)  we will do together so you get used to the book.
  • write the exercises in your notebook and correct them with a pen of a different colour. Make notes when I am explaining grammar. Always indicate clearly which unit and which exercise something belongs to.

End of every lesson
At the end of class you will 

  • note down what you still need to do for this week (see weekly tasks) and any deadlines you've been given. 
  • Ask any final questions you have. Don't leave anything for later! 
  • You remain seated and keep working until I tell you to put your things away. This will usually 1-2 minutes before the official end of the lesson. 
  • Pack your bags and take all trash with you. You are mature enough to pick up after yourselves. Put the waste in the appropiate waste bin in the corridor.
