Adjectives

(bijvoeglijk naamwoord)

Worden gebruikt om iets te zeggen over: 

1. Zelfstandig naamwoorden

2. Of om mensen of dingen te beschrijven

Adverbs

(bijwoorden)

Worden gebruikt om iets te  zeggen over:

1. Werkwoorden

2. Bijvoeglijk naamwoorden

3. Andere bijwoorden

Examples

1. The green house is my brother's. 

2. The car drove incredibly fast.

3. The sound was incredible.

The sound was incredibly loud.

Adverbs vs Adjectives

Van een bijvoeglijk naamwoord (adjective) maak je het bijwoord (adverb) op deze manier: 

Honest - Honestly

Brave - Bravely

Hopeful - Hopefully

Maar er zijn uitzonderingen op de spelling.

Easy - Easily

Scientific - scientifically 

Terrible - Terribly

En dan zijn er bijvoeglijk naamwoorden die helemaal niet de regels volgen. Deze moet je leren.

good - well

fast - fast

long - long

low - low

Adverbs vs Adjectives

Na werkwoorden als look, seem, taste, feel, smell en sound gebruik je altijd een adjective (bijvoeglijk naamwoord).

(dit staat nergens in je boek, dus schrijf op!)
