Sexual characteristics

Physical characteristics that determine the sex of a baby directly after birth

Sex = geslacht 

Primary sexual characteristics

The sexual characteristics that you already have at birth are called the primary sexual characteristics. 

• Boy = the penis and scrotum.

•  Girl = the vulva (labia, clitoral glans and vaginal opening).

Sometimes intersex baby's are born -> both male en female characteristics
