om een ontkenning te maken in de simple present kies je tussen don't en doesn't, hierna komt het hele werkwoord (dus geen vervoeging)

I like books.                   - I don't like books.
She listens to music.     - She doesn't listen to music.

om een ontkenning te maken in de simple past gebruik je didn't, hierna komt het hele werkwoord (dus geen vervoeging)
