What is the First (FCE) Writing test like?
The test has two sections and takes about 80 minutes:

Part 1 -write an essay based on prompts
Part 2 - write one from a choice of 4 questions: an article,  a letter or an email, a review or a story.
Tip for Part 2 of the Writing paper
If the "informal email" appears then you should seriously think about choosing this task as it is the easiest of the writing tasks.

Slide 3 - Slide

I think that the essay in Part 2 has now been removed from the choices. * used to be an essay on a set book.
