Rabindranath Tagore was a great poet. He was born on 7 May 1861 in Kolkata.His father's name was Devendranath Tagore.His mother's name was Sharda Devi.
He was interested in writing poems from his childhood.
They were all educated and artistic in their family.
He was sent to England for the studies of advocacy.
From there he returned after one year.
He wrote the national anthem "Jan Gun Mann" of our country. He died in Kolkata on August 7, 1941.
