School is not the same everywhere

Let's listen to an American who tells us about high school there
He thinks Dutch school is pretty sad..

Did you know....
  • A school in the Philippines is made entirely of recycled pop bottles.
  • Meal-time in France is considered part of the curriculum.
  • Kids in Finland do not start school until the age of 7.
  • China has the most homework. (14 hours a week)
  • One of the subjects taught in Icelandic schools is knitting.
  • In Iran boys and girls are in seperated classes.

This school can teach any subject you want, be at any location, look any way you want!

You must make a powerpoint / lesson up about your dream school. 
Creativity will be rewarded! 
Work in groups of 3 (no more, less is up for discussion)

During the presentation every pupil must speak for at least 2 minutes. Presentations should be 6 - 8 minutes

  • What type of subjects do you offer?
  • How long does a typical schoolday last? 
  • Do your pupils wear uniforms? Why? What do they look like? 
  • How old are your pupils, at what age do they enter and leave?

  • Dorms, where do pupils sleep / live? 
  • Food, do you offer school lunches and what kind? 
  • Extracurricular activities?

  • How many breaks do you have? What can pupils do during the break?
