Nederlands – lijdende vorm
Gebruiken als 
1) je niet weet wie het gedaan heeft, of het niet belangrijk is wie het gedaan heeft:
 e.g. Tommy’s arm is broken.  
 Suddenly, she was hit on the head and blacked out.

 e.g. Tommy was hit by a car.

How to rewrite passive
1. Schrijf de zin over.  
2. Omcirkel het lijdend voorwerp/meewerkend voorwerp.
2. Onderstreep alle werkwoorden (gezegde).
3. Streep het onderwerp weg en bedenk of hij nodig is achterin in een 'by clause'.
