The future tense

There is no unique form of the future tense in English. You use other tenses to explain future plans or predictions. 

• will + verb 
• am/is/are + going to + verb 
• present continuous 
• present simple 

 

I think he is going to be the winner of The Voice of Holland next week.

1. It sounds as if it is already clear, while it is not.
2. It should be: 'is winning'. There is a time indication.
3. There is nothing wrong with this sentence.
4. The present simple should be used here.

3. Bij iets wat al vast staat in de toekomst.
4. Bij iets wat je graag wil dat uitkomt.
