Learning Objective

At the end of the lesson you will be able to describe your house in English using simple vocabulary and sentence structures.

Explain to students the goal of the lesson and what they will be able to do by the end of the class.

Teach students the basic vocabulary needed to describe their house.

Introduce students to different sentence structures they can use to describe their house.

Describing Your House

Describe your house using the vocabulary and sentence structures you learned.

Have students describe their house to their partner using the new vocabulary and sentence structures.

Adjectives

Big/small, old/new, clean/dirty, bright/dark.

Teach students some adjectives they can use to describe their house.

Describing Your House with Adjectives

Describe your house using the adjectives you learned.

Have students describe their house to their partner using the new adjectives they learned.

Prepositions of Place

In, on, under, next to, between.

Teach students some prepositions of place they can use to describe the location of objects in their house.

Describe where objects are in your house using the prepositions of place you learned.

Have students describe where objects are in their house to their partner using the new prepositions of place they learned.
