Four ways of making the future:
1. will + verb
2. to be going to + verb
3. present continuous
4. present simple

1. will + verb

When to use the tense?
something will happen in the future; you decide to do something at the moment of speaking; when expressing a wish, promise, prediction 
     It will rain tomorrow.
     I think I will stay home tonight.
     I am sure he will call me.
     He thinks they will arrive this weekend. 

How to use the tense? 
regular sentence: will + full verb
question: will + subject + full verb
negation: won't + full verb

2. to be going to + verb

When to use the tense?
when there is an existing plan; there are clear signs something is going to happen
         My mum is going to get a new car.
         My sister is going to have a baby next month. 

How to use the tense?
regular sentence: am/are/is going to + full verb
question: am/are/is + subject + going to + full verb
negation: am not/are not/is not going to + full verb

3. present continuous

When to use the tense?
 when there is an appointment or plan for which arrangements have been made
         We are going to a concert tonight. 
         They are getting married next month. 

How to use the tense?
regular sentence: am/are/is + verb + ing
question: am/are/is + subject + verb + ing
negation: am not/are not/is not + verb + ing

4. simple present

When to use the tense?
when things are happening according to a set schedule 
          This shop closes at 5 PM. 
          The plane departs in an hour. 
     
How to use the tense?
regular sentence: full verb / verb + s for third person singular
question: do / does + subject + full verb
negation: don't / doesn't + full verb
