Adverbs (bijwoorden)
Refers to: verb, adjective, adverb, sentence.
Example: 
She rarely eats brekkie. 
 Use: 
To answer: How….? 
To say something about a verb or adjective. 

Position in sentence:​ 
After to have – to be – to do​​ 
Otherwise before the verb​

Refers to noun! 
Example: 
The tall professor.  
Use: To answer: What sort of….? (it’s rather a description) 
To say something about a noun (zelfstandig naamw). 

Position in sentence:​ 
Before a noun 
Used after these verbs: to be – sound – taste – smell – look – feel 
35-year-old man / 90-minute walk
