Deze twee woorden worden gebruikt om vergelijkingen te maken. 

Ze worden allebei hetzelfde vertaald: namelijk 'net als'.

Examples

Dat ruikt net als honing - It smells like honey

Zij zingt net zoals die beroemdheid - She sings like that celebrity

Wij drinken vaak thee, net zoals in China - We often drink tea, as they do in China

But if they have the same meaning, what's the difference?

1. Vóór zelfstandige naamwoorden (a cat, a bird, honey, table etc.) en persoonlijke voornaamwoorden (you, I, him etc.)

Your brother looks like you

What's that? It looks like a cat!

As

1. In combinatie met voorzetsels (in, next to, on, at) en vóór bijzinnen 

We often drink tea, as they do in China

As in Holland, you have to carry your ID here
