Write a negation in English.

Negations

Je kan op twee manieren ontkenningen maken:

1) Werkwoord in de zin is: To be, Can, May, Will

2) Werkwoord in de zin is : Have got

3) Werkwoord in de zin is: Een ander werkwoord

Negations

1) Als het werkwoord in de zin: To be, Can, May, Will

is, dan komt het woord 'not' na het werkwoord.

You are my friend. --> You are not my friend.

She can run very fast. --> She can not run fast.

We may sit down. --> We may not sit down.

I will go on vacation. --> I will not go on vacation.

2) Als het werkwoord in de zin: Have got

is, dan doe je het woord 'not' tussen have & got.

Bij onderwerpen: I / You / We / They --> Have

Bij onderwerpen: She / He / It --> Has

You have got a new bike. --> You have not got a new bike.

She has got a new bike. --> She has not got a new bike.

Negations

3) Als er een ander werkwoord in de zin staat, dan heb je hulp 

nodig van werkwoorden: Do of Does

Het woord 'not' komt na Do of Does

En Do / Does + not --> komt voor het werkwoord

Bij onderwerpen: I / You / We / They --> Do

Bij onderwerpen: She / He / It --> Does

We own a Playstation 5. --> We do not own a Playstation 5.

She likes a new dance. --> She does not like a new dance.

Negations

Je kan negations ook afkorten door n't te gebruiken:

You are not my friend. --> You aren't my friend.

She can not run fast. --> She can't run fast.

I will not go on vacation. --> I won't go on vacation.

You have not got a new bike. --> You haven't got a new bike.

She has not got a new bike. --> She hasn't got a new bike.

We do not own a Playstation 5. --> We don't own a new Playstation 5.

She does not like a new dance. --> She doesn't like a new dance.

I can go now.

We are nice people.

Make a negation:
They play football every Friday.

Make a negation:
We love to dance in the rain.

Make a negation:
My sister lives in Spain.

Make a negation:
My sisters live in Spain.

Make a negation:
We will go now.

She may sit here.
