Bij personen, namen, tijd en plaats: 's / s '

    bij personen enkelvoud:                          John's brother / My sister's book
    bij personen meervoud:                          Both my brothers' cars / Two girls' books
    bij personen meervoud zonder -s:    The children's toys
    bij tijd enkelvoud:                                       an hour's drive
    bij tijd meervoud:                                       three hours' drive
   
    bij plaats zonder benoeming
     van het gebouw:                                        We were at Linda's              I buy my bread at the baker's.

Let op: eindigt een woord in het meervoud al op een s dan hoef je daar alleen nog maar een ' achter te zetten
