Bingo-onregelmatige werkwoorden

Ik ga  de verleden tijd of het voltooid deelwoord van een werkwoord  oproepen.

Jullie moeten de overeenkomstige basisvorm op hun bingo kaart vinden en markeren.

Het doel is om vijf gemarkeerde vakjes in een rij te krijgen (horizontaal of verticaal).

Wanneer een groep vijf vakjes op een rij gemarkeerd heeft, roepen ze 'Bingo!'.

Past perfect

Vul het werkwoord met de juiste vorm van The past perfect

The passive 

Je hebt actieve en passieve zinnen.

• Bij actieve zinnen beschrijf je wat het onderwerp doet. 

Actief: He cleans his room every week.

• Bij passieve zinnen beschrijf je wat er met het onderwerp gebeurt. 

Passief: His room is cleaned every week. 

Grammar 6: Active vs. Passive

Lastigste onderdeel - gaat om het omdraaien van de zin: 
- Actieve zin: focus is op het onderwerp
   "I clean the kitchen. "
   "She was playing the piano."
- Passieve zin: focus op de actie / het voorwerp
   "The kitchen is cleaned (by me)." 
   "The piano was being played (by her)."

From active to passive...

Om een actieve zin passief te maken, moet het lijdend voorwerp vooraan in de zin komen te staan, als onderwerp van de passieve zin.

The cat chases the mouse.

'The mouse' wordt onderwerp van de passieve zin --> komt vooraan te staan

'chases' is een present simple --> present simple van "to be" --> is

gevolgd door het voltooid deelwoord van 'chase' --> chased

The mouse is chased by the cat.

Active and Passive Sentences

Een actieve zin heeft een onderwerp dat de actie uitvoert. Bijvoorbeeld: 'The cat caught the mouse.' Een passieve zin heeft een onderwerp dat de actie ondergaat. Bijvoorbeeld: 'The mouse was caught by the cat .'

Leg het verschil uit tussen actieve en passieve zinnen en geef voorbeelden.

Active and Passive Voice with Tense Focus-1

1. Present Continuous (Passive)

The song ________ (sing) by the choir right now.

2. Past Continuous (Passive)

The house ________ (paint) when it started to rain.

3. Present Perfect (Active)

The committee ________ (approve) the new regulations.

4. Past Perfect (Passive)

1. The song is being sung by the choir right now.

Uitleg: Deze zin gebruikt de passieve vorm van de present continuous. De actieve stem zou zijn: "The choir is singing the song."

2. The house was being painted when it started to rain.

Uitleg: De passieve vorm van de past continuous wordt gebruikt. In actieve vorm zou het zijn: "Someone was painting the house."

3. The committee has approved the new regulations.

Uitleg: Hier wordt de actieve vorm van de present perfect gebruikt. De passieve stem zou zijn: "The new regulations have been approved by the committee."

4. The letter had been written by the time he arrived.

Uitleg: Dit is de passieve vorm van de past perfect. In actieve vorm zou de zin zijn: "Someone had written the letter by the time he arrived."

Uitleg: Dit is de passieve vorm van de present simple. In actieve vorm zou de zin zijn: "Students read the book every year."

Uitleg: Dit is de passieve vorm van de past simple. De actieve vorm zou zijn: "The courier delivered the message yesterday."

3. The teacher explains the lesson.

Uitleg: Dit is de actieve vorm van de present simple. De passieve vorm zou zijn: "The lesson is explained by the teacher."
