  1. Vamos a dedicar la clase de hoy entera a preparar el formativo C (speaking) y la siguiente clase al feedback y a la reflexión del feedback ("My feedback cycle" form).

Guidelines/tips to prepare  for the 
Summative C (speaking)
1. Revise the LessonUps used in class and do again the activities.Focus on the videos and speaking exercises.
2. Revise the notes that you have taken in class (yellow notebook).
3. Complete all the activities of the revision guide –Mantén la calma y Vamos a Repasar-. 
4. Watch movies, videos and listen to Spanish songs trying to identify words. 
5. Practise the language as much as possible. Think about native speaking friends, relative, etc.

¡Vamos a practicar!
Today we are going to practise the criterion C, speaking.
  1. In pairs, choose two images, then think of ten things you can say about those images. 
  2. Then, your classmate will be the teacher and you the student, they will ask you questions taking the role of the teacher. 
  3. Practice speaking for two-three minutes about the image and prompt and answer also the questions from your classmate (the questions you can expect from your teacher). Switch roles so your classmate gets also the chance to talk about three images.

4.  Record your audio--> Your teacher will play it and her/him and your classmates will give you oral feedback.
You will need to fill the Feedback Cycle form after you get the feedback. HERE

  • You will have a conversation one to one with your teacher about a topic related to the current unit.
  • You will get an image and a legend (phrase) as a prompt (inspiration) and will talk about it for 2-3 minutes

FAQ´s
  • What do I do if I can not speak for 2-3minutes? 

During the first part of the assessment the teacher will ask you for your personal information: name, age, nationality, etc. That way you will speak for a longer time ;)

Then, your teacher will give you time to talk about the prompt (image and legend) and only after you have said all you can, they will ask you more questions to help you reach 2-3 minutes.

FAQ´s 
  • Do I have to describe the image?

You may, but you do not have to. The legend (phrase) is very important, if the legend says "Me gusta ir al cine", you HAVE TO say something about this prompt. Like: "A mí también me gusta ir al cine porque es divertido y me gusta comer palomitas y ver películas de terror..." After that you can talk about other things related to the topic: favorite movie and/or actor, your hobbies in general, series you don't like to watch, etc.

• Vocabulary related to the topics: family / activities / types of movies.
• Grammar structures: Estar + gerundio / verbos: gustar - encantar – interesar.
• Organization of the information: coherent & with enough details.

-Buen uso del vocabulario sobre películas y programas de televisión
-Buen uso del verbo gustar (me gustan las películas de amor porque...)

- Remember to conjugate always the verb (ver = yo veo / salir = yo salgo)
- Review the structure -estar + gerundio-
- Try to use more connectives: y  = and / porque  = because / pero = but
