Instruction
When you want to indicate possesions and their owners you use possesive pronouns

For example:
My shirt, your shirt, his shirt, etc.

Slide 7 - Slide

Instruction
If you want to indicate possesion or ownership without using a noun (zelfstandig naamwoord) you use different possesive pronouns.

Words that would  mean "van jou" "van mij" "van ons" etc.
or "de jouwe" "de mijne" "de onze" etc.

Slide 8 - Slide

van mij = of mine
van jou = of yours
van hem = of his
van haar = of hers
van ons = of ours
van hen = of theirs

Instead of: this is my design
This is a design of mine

de mijne = mine
de jouwe = yours
de zijne = his
de hare = hers
de onze = ours
