Hello! This is Clarissa from New York! 
Yesterday I flew from Schiphol to JFK Airport in the biggest plane I have ever seen. It is the most exciting trip of my life!
At the airport I asked a police officer where I could find a taxi and he explained me how to get there.
I  took a taxi instead of the underground to my hotel in Manhattan, because I had so much luggage. The taxi driver was very kind: he carried my suitcase into the hotel lobby. He laughed and said that my suitcase was even heavier than an elephant!

At day 2 I met a very handsome Broadway actor. He was on his way to an audition for the musical 'Cats'. He didn't look happy so I asked him 'How do you feel?' and he said "I don't feel well: I am so nervous!'. 
After his audition I saw him again: he was crying! I asked him: did you get the role? But he didn't: the director said that he was a bit too nervous and that he had to speak more slowly. 
I said I was very proud of him and that it's my dream to be on Broadway one day, because I love to sing and dance.

Hi guys! Look around: this is my favourite neighbourhood in New York! This is MANHATTAN!

Today I AM SHOWING you what I like best about Manhattan, so: let’s go. As you can see We ARE STAYING in a beautiful apartment on the 6th floor of a skyscraper. The apartment has a lot of space and a swimming pool: I LOVE it!

The only thing I don’t like is that it’s very expensive to live here and sometimes it is a little bit too crowded, but ‘hey’: it’s the big city, isn’t it?

In Manhatten there are many skyscrapers: look around you! It’s so cool! And there’s a lot to see: you can go to the movies, visit a museum or go shopping. But I have to go now: we ARE WALKING to my favourite restaurant for lunch. See ya!

Now let’s talk about holidays. What is your favourite holiday????? Mine is ….Christmas in New York of course. The whole city is decorated and you can even skate at Rockefeller Centre. We CELEBRATE Christmas TOGETHER with the whole family. We decorate the house and buy the biggest tree we can find. When we HAVE DINNER, we LIGHT CANDLES, eat turkey and Christmas CAKE and we HAVE a lot of FUN. What I don’t like is sitting at the dinner table for hours and hours… that’s boring. Don’t you think?

Of course, we get some PRESENTS from Santa as well. Last year Santa gave me a nice bag and a Christmas sweater, but this sweater is so ugly! I don’t like to wear it. I am going to give it to my mother next year.
