• Spreek/kijk/luistervaardigheid: leerlingen oefenen spreken en discussiëren o.a. in wekelijkse BBC One Minute News presentaties/discussies geleid door klasgenoten en door het maken van oude luisterexamens mgv Woots.nl.
• Leesvaardigheid: Leerlingen lezen een tweede boek voor hun leesdossier, maken een boekopdracht en delen persoonlijke leeservaringen in leesgroepjes. Hierdoor krijgen ze inzicht in hun eigen leesvoorkeuren, verschillende interpretaties/perspectieven en oefenen ze leesstrategieën zoals vragen stellen, samenvatten, teruglezen, verbanden leggen etc.. voor dieper tekstbegrip.
• Leerlingen oefenen leesstrategieën mgv Study Flow en examenidioom mgv Words in Progress (ELO) en Quizlet.
