Get into 5 groups!

Expertgroups (round 1)

1. Jij wordt samen met je groepje expert over één onderwerp! Kijk het filmpje over jouw onderwerp en maak notities. 

2. Ga naar 'Important information' in je ELO en open 'Grammar Grid - Conditionals and Relative clauses. 

3. Beantwoord de vragen van jouw onderwerp (je kunt de rode tekst verwijderen). Schrijft alles op wat erover jouw onderwerp te weten is en maak voorbeeldzinnen. Overleg samen zodat alle vragen worden opgelost. 

4. Bedenk met je groepje hoe je jouw onderwerp aan je klasgenoten kunt uitleggen. Zorg dat je je voorbereid voelt. Bedenk voorbeelden bij je uitleg.

Expertgroups (round 2)

1. Switch groepjes. Zorg dat er in elk groepje ten minsten één expert over onderwerp A, B, en C, en twee experts over D zit. 

2. Elke expert legt om de beurt het onderwerp uit aan zijn groepsgenoten. 

3. Vul je grammer-schema aan met de informatie van de andere groepjes. Zorg dat je aan het einde van de les een vol schema hebt.

Relative Pronouns: 

• Who: for people
• Which: for things, ideas and situations 
• Where: for places
• when: for times
• whose: possessive

Definite clause: 

The information added is crucial for understanding the sentence. 

Indefinite clause:

The information is extra and not crucial. The relative clause is placed between commas.

How to make a relative clause

1. Find the common factor of the two sentences. 
2. Decide which clause will be the 'relative' clause (depends on context)
3. Change the common factor of the relative clause, into the appropriate relative pronoun.
4. Put this sentence after the common factor of the main clause. Done!
